  1. Would be nice if Rodon could just throw a nice, simple 1-2-3 10 to 12 pitch inning
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ May 22, 2016 -> 02:51 PM) Relying on Melky and Eaton for power is a recipe for failure. Relying on Sands to hit bombs vs a power righty is laughable. This team hasn't hit a homer on this home stand. Not saying they should rely on them...all I said was it would be nice to see a homerun from someone in the lineup today.
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 22, 2016 -> 02:49 PM) Rodon just can't seem to put guys away when needed. He us allowing too many runners and if not carefulvwill pay Yeah, either he's always behind in the count, or if he's ahead it seems he has trouble making "that one pitch" more often than not.
  4. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 22, 2016 -> 02:44 PM) Other than Frazier who's gonna hit a HR? Take a look at this group were sending out today, theres no power. Melky. Sands has some power. Eaton has some power. Lawrie has known to crush one every once in a while. There are more people in this lineup who can hit a bomb than Frazier.
  5. It would be nice seeing a multi-run homer by the Sox in this game, or a couple solo shots.
  6. They have got to get Ventura now before he starts to settle in. They need to be patient early, especially seeing Ventura was a little erratic in the 1st.
  7. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 22, 2016 -> 02:35 PM) This dead ass team could use a brawl. Honestly it would probably be good for them.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ May 22, 2016 -> 02:30 PM) I'm guessing he strikes him out Possibly/probably. But I wonder if there is some lingering revengeful feelings after what happened with Lawrie with the A's last year when they played KC. Could play out here in this game. Probably not going to happen, but it is possible.
  9. Will be interesting to see how Ventura approaches Lawrie. Those two have a history with each other...
  10. There is a lot surrounding the Sox right now questioning their actual ability to play winning baseball. I think the team we saw in April and the first week or so of May is the real team. It's a long season. They are in a funk right now (just like every team in the league experiences at some point in the season), but they will get out of it soon, as soon as some key players start getting hot with the bat. Remember, they are still in 1st place. Time to start a nice winning streak and put some distance between KC and CLE and DET. Lets go boys!
  11. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 18, 2016 -> 10:36 PM) This is frustrating. Extremely. Starting to feel like 2015 a bit. No bueno
  12. Hey he hit a curve!
  13. Here comes the curve low and away
  14. Would like to see Rollins bunt it
  15. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 18, 2016 -> 10:24 PM) Umpire gave a strike to Fister when there was a ball, should have been walked They need to hit the ball. Calls aren't going their way, they need to make something happen. Can't wait for it to happen to them.
  16. Hopefully the to of the order can get the job done.
  17. Now get him in and stop leaving them on base
  18. When you don't take advantage of runners in scoring position, you don't win. Pitching is not getting it done, we knew they couldn't keep it up all year. The Sox need to score more runs and need to get creative, because whatever they are doing now is not working. Just like that Runner on 3rd 1 out. Can't get him in. That's what frustrates me the most. Not the pitching, but the situational hitting.
  19. They have to make this a big inning. Have to work around the bad umpiring and bad breaks and just play.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 18, 2016 -> 08:49 PM) I think pitch trax is really helping us see that umpires are mostly awful at calling strikes. I wonder sometimes if pitch trax is even accurate
  21. I will say what I said on Sunday, this is getting to be embarrassing.
  22. If the Sox continue to not get runners in when they are on base, they are going to lose a ton of 1 and 2 run games, such as this one if they don't cash in here in the late innings.
  23. Sox need to swing at everything up and watch everything low. Anything low is gonna be a groundout with his sinkers and curveballs. Those high changeups, like what Abreu hit, high sinkers and high fastballs are what they should be looking for in my opinion. Everything else, leave it be.
  24. You can cancel the post game show. Need a couple more of those
