  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 04:44 PM) Melky bunting Actually would love a hit and run here HAH Melky fake bunted that first pitch
  2. Another leadoff walk...let's get him in this time. I'd like to see Melk take a couple here.
  3. QUOTE (shysocks @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 04:41 PM) Robot umps now please. Yeah that's pretty bad
  4. Nice inning there by Robertson. Great play by Frazier. 2nd homerun coming?
  5. Abreu is struggling...all those fastballs would have been hits by Abreu if this were 2014 or even last year. I think he will make a comeback during the 2nd half of the season.
  6. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ May 31, 2016 -> 03:40 PM) I'm sorry but that is such a ludicrous viewpoint to have as a fan. It's one thing to be willing to lose late in the season so changes are made or a better draft pick is to be had but it is f***ing May 31 and they are just 2 games back despite losing 7 in a row. I swear some of you people like to see them fail just so you have something to whine about and it really makes it a chore to even visit this board at times. I am by no means saying the Sox are going to the World Series, but I always look to the 2005 Houston Astros and I am reminded that no matter how bad a team starts, NO TEAM should EVER be considered one that is dead in the water. On May 31st, 2005 the Astros were 19-32 to begin the season and in last place in the NL Central...14 games back. We all know where they ended up at the end of the season. This doesn't usually happen, but it IS possible. Hell, even the Twins have a shot to right themselves right now. The current White Sox are in a funk, yes, but by no means are they out of it. By no means should they blow the whole thing up like a lot of people are saying, despite the bad taste from the last few years. They are 27-25, and, like you say, only 2 games back despite losing 7 in a row. That's pretty good. I would rather them have this one bad stretch now than in August/September and potentially October. Sometimes it's not even the team that is considered to be the best that wins it all, it's the team that is the hottest. I am looking forward to a fantastic rebound by this team. They have proved that they can win, and I am confident they will do it again.
  7. The White Sox are amazing at raising people's hopes and then just crushing them to the ground
  8. This game should be tied. Let's see if the Sox have any bite left in them.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 25, 2016 -> 04:35 PM) What the hell are Navarro and Cabrera doing? Inexcusable apathy defensively. Yeah Cabrera was pretty lethargic on getting that ball in the corner.
  10. I feel so bad for the fans...this game must be so boring. You know it's pretty bad when the announcers start talking about what shade of blue the sky currently is...
  11. Nice play there by Melky. NOW HIT THE DAMN BALL
  12. Where was the team we saw in April? Where in the hell did it go? I just don't understand. I get that its a long season and teams are going to go into a funk, but how long is this going to last? Is this the true Sox team? I really hope not, but it seems like it is.
  13. Good hit and run, now lets keep the line going. Smack one in the gap Spank, lets get back in this ballgame.
  14. 1st thread of the year. Here goes nothing! Hopefully the offense can continue to slam Kluber as they have in the past. The offense really needs to get out of this rut they are in. Let's get a win today boys! EDIT: It's Kluber (4.10) vs Quintana (1.98) Lifetime the White Sox have hit .262 vs Kluber. Abreu and Melky have destroyed him, with .357 (28 ABs) and .474 (19 ABs) averages against him, respectively. Collectively they have slugged .417 against him. Abreu is the only one on the roster who has ever hit a homer off of him with 3 of them.
  15. It's honestly just painful watching these games. It sucks not really having any hope that the team is going to come back. Every pitcher they face just seems to have their number.
  16. Saladino definitely deserves more playing time.
  17. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ May 24, 2016 -> 09:42 PM) Absolutely terrible from Avi. Bad from Lawrie too...you don't run if the ball is hit in front of you as a runner at 2nd
  18. Just turned on the game. First thing I see is that horrific double play...has this how the rest of the game has gone?
  19. That is one helluva play by the Lindor.
  20. Well they've got some work to do.
  21. Guess not. He seems to always roll over on those low curves.
  22. Anderson is really spotting his pitches well...good take from Avila to bring the count to 2-2 that was a tough curve to lay off.
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:53 PM) Stop falling out over the plate Someone needs to ship Abreus family to the US or something. You know, that is a good point. I do wonder if him missing his son has anything to do with this, I know he has a close bond with him.
  24. That's the kind of atbats you get when you are struggling.
