Texas is currently 2nd in runs scored and in hits in the AL (behind Boston) and the White Sox have only allowed them 1 run over 14 innings so far, and that one run being a homer that barely made it over the fence. I swear if this team makes it to the playoffs, I think they have a real legitimate shot at going all the way with the pitching and current defense they have.

Rodon is pitching exceptionally well today. Really hitting his spots and getting players to roll over and swing and miss. I think so far the Sox pitching have shown that their pitching this season is not a fluke now that they are pitching against one of the better hitting teams in the league.

Can't miss those opportunities...really hope this doesn't come back to bite them

I swear every time I see Ajax hit a fly ball it looks like he crushed it out of the park but it ends up just being a flyout.

So Avi watches the changeup right down the middle, swings and misses and the high fast ball then grounds out on the low curveball...

We all know the offense sucks. I am hearing a lot of people saying that it will get better...but will it really? I remember a lot of people last year saying it will, but it never did. It never even really came close to getting better. I don't know if they need a better approach up there or what. It seems like each player has been figured out by the opposing pitchers. Those averages are just horrendous...a lot of the hitters aren't even hitting .200! With Texas coming to town, if the Sox don't start hitting, then I am afraid they will get swept. I REALLY hope that is not the case, as we have Quintana, Latos and Rodon (hopefully he's put that last start behind him...basically on 10 days rest) coming up, but the Sox are going to have to start scoring at least 4 runs pretty consistently if they want to have consistent winning baseball in my opinion.
