  1. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 7, 2016 -> 09:18 PM) Yea but that was 25 year old Jackson. Current version isn't nearly the hitter but he is a good glove guy. Hopefully he picks it up some but hopefully also the guys around him make OK to carry a defensive first CF. True. Wonder what the odds are of the league adopting a designated fielder position??? (sarcasm)
  2. I really want to see Ajax start tearing it up. Living in Michigan, I've talked to some Tigers fans about his playing games in Detroit. They say when he gets hot, he really carries a team and it's like no one can get him out. Would be nice to get that from him soon.
  3. QUOTE (bmags @ May 7, 2016 -> 09:09 PM) Sale still out? Not a fan of robins decisions today Yeah, I think this could have gone both ways. He has the Twins' number right now, and he's rolling. Give the bullpen an extra inning of rest....and it worked. Robin would've been taking some heat though if the Twins did anything in that inning. That should be Sale's final hitter.
  4. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 7, 2016 -> 09:07 PM) little surprised it's a dead ball if it hits him in the batters box but guess he was out so it's moot point. And there's a double play. Yeah I'm pretty sure the rule is once it hits the runner anywhere it's a dead ball and the runner that the ball hit is out, and any other runners return to the bases they were occupying.
  5. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 7, 2016 -> 09:06 PM) just stupid managing if that came from the dugout. Navarro is too slow to bother trying to bunt into scoring position. Yeah...Saladino should have been swinging away.
  6. I always liked the idea of Navarro being in the lineup vs. Avila. I think once Avila heals, Navarro needs to be the one getting most of the games. He has earned it.
  7. The white sox should be winning this game bt at least 4 runs
  8. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 4, 2016 -> 09:27 PM) Maybe you're right, and I have no problem with them feeling that way about '17, '18 and so on... but THIS YEAR they should probably be thinking elsewhere. If he does figure it out GREAT! you can never have too many arms in the postseason, but if he doesn't your ass is covered. True. Would be nice to have an insurance starter. But, if Rodon pitches the second half of the year this year like he did last year, then watch out man. I agree though, would be nice to have asses covered. I think the trade deadline is going to be an interesting one with our team if they are still up there come end of July..even the beginning of July.
  9. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 4, 2016 -> 09:23 PM) I think long term hes gonna be fine, but these inning he has are pretty brutal. You want Rodon starting playoff games? He's got a long way to go for that. Long season. I think he's going to get better as the season progresses.
  10. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 4, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) sick of Jackson honestly. He's here to play defense. As long as he does that, I'm fine with him batting .220 on the year. Other players can pick up the offensive slack. He gets enough hits to get by. If the team were losing, it would be another story, because he is basically hitting like Tyler Flowers (with a little more graceful swing, mind you).
  11. Would be nice to see him put this game out of reach with a 3 run bomb here
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 4, 2016 -> 08:34 PM) Nah. They've been pimping Eaton and our pitching staff. Good, nice to see Sox getting some good publicity.
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 4, 2016 -> 08:31 PM) Don't think I've ever actually watched a national Sox broadcast, but with Boringnetti on now I think I will. I'm on mlb.tv. How is the ESPN cast? Are they talking about Boston constantly?
  14. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 4, 2016 -> 08:31 PM) I'm also down with these 12 pitch innings. I'm also not sure I've seen Carlos smile before on the field, so that's new. Yeah I agree. I always thought he looked stressed everytime he takes the mound
  15. Every time Rollins hits the ball it looks to me like he crushes it but it ends up always falling for a single...
  16. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 4, 2016 -> 08:16 PM) Fear of Eaton throwing out Bogaerts (he probably would've thrown him out) pins the runner on 1st base setting up an easy 3-4-3 GIDP. Defense builds on defense. Yup. Little stuff matters...if Avi was in right field he wouldn't have gotten there as quickly and the inning would probably still be alive with Bogaerts on 3rd and 2 out.
