  1. If Eloy can't go today, DH Mazara. If they bring in a left and Mazara is batting, bring in McCann.
  2. I meant playing the Yankees in the wild card round was a nightmare scenario. Our guys need a few games under their belt. Playing them in the ALCS gives us a much better chance of beating them.
  3. Go Sox!! Let's win this series!!! How about a great lineup today?
  4. It is not always a loser mentality, sometimes it is playing the matchup and odds game. This isn't simply about bad stretches. There is a time and a place to play certain teams, and if you want to advance, a little luck is involved. Odds are that the Astros got their series win out of the way by beating a historically bad playoff team. They were under .500 for a reason. Playing the As and then them provides us the best chance of going to the ALCS. Playing the Yankees or Indians first would not have given our guys a chance to get their playoff feet wet first. Those would have been bad matchups to start for us. If we get to the ALCS and meet the Yankees, we will be in a much better position to beat them.
  5. This is true. We need to have a big three TOR next season, and I still believe DK can be a 3 for sure. We are headed in the right direction, but we shall see if the starting pitching is improved by June. Also, our division has been beaten thus far this postseason. Cannot have glaring lineup holes in the playoffs and expect to get past the typical big boys. I said last week playing the Yankees would be a nightmare scenario at this point. You have to be able to get guys on base, and not just hit the long ball.
  6. Can't risk another meltdown in the field or on base. It's do or die.
  7. Lineup for tomorrow SS Tim 3B Yoan 1B Abreu C Grandal DH Eloy CF Robert RF Mazara LF Engel 2B Garcia
  8. I'd be surprised if Manaea started. And the Indians aren't done just yet.
  9. I know your point. It is easier to claw back in a game against scrubs. That comeback was nice, but isn't a big deal because of the competition.
  10. The Cubs sent their C team out there. Had no care in the world about winning that game.
  11. The one thing we couldn't do was fall more than one down early. Gonna be real tough for us to get big momentum back. Top of the lineup needs to string a few hits together.
  12. As folks said they were unlucky yesterday. Claimed 9 balls were hit at 95mph for outs.
  13. Game would just get moved to one other ESPN channel or they will locally send us out to Oakland.
  14. Astros and Twins pitching very well this series. Defense has just been shoddy.
  15. I'll help Ricky 1. Tim 2. Yoan 3. Abreu 4. Grandal 5. Robert 6. Edwin 7. Engel 8. Leury 9. Nick I am batting Robert 5th because if he gets on base, he has enough speed to be driven in by EE. If EE gets on ahead of Robert, it will be tough to get him in.
