That was my point. He had a chance to show he should play more and blew that opportunity after Grandal got hurt. That is on him. I'm not even bringing up his defense.

If he were hitting when Grandal went down he'd be playing more.

I guess giving him more at bats and playing time didn't help, or his good play in the minors. He may not be playable without the bat.

I don’t want Kimbrel losing any sort of confidence. We need him. The offense played well today even if they put up 4 through 9. Especially against a tough arm like Kyle.

That's because we are an above average team overall playing in a terrible division. The Twins felt like giants the last two years and got swept out of the playoffs.

Sadly Detroit and KC have looked better than us since the break. We need to wake up quick and stop living in the "we lead the division" doldrums.
