QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 3, 2009 -> 08:17 PM) Years ago, but the at large selections for non major conferences has been dropping every year since the MVC sent 4 teams. More and More mediocre BCS conference schools are getting the at larges. I'll never understand sending a middle of the road ACC or Big 12 school over a smaller conference team that actually had a great year. Name me team from a smaller conference that has had a great year that didn't get in the tournament. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 3, 2009 -> 09:23 PM) Yeah, after maybe seeing it for the 5th time, you could see it was still on the finger tips. I'm not sure I had ever seen one like that where he got it off before the red light but after the clock went to 0.0 -

QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 3, 2009 -> 05:24 PM) It's not a bad loss. You guys and the selection committee painting it as bad loses make it impossible for the MVC or any other non power conferance to get more then one team to the tourney. Ridiculous. When the MVC is good they get more than one bid. In fact I think last year was the only year in the last 10 years that the MVC didn't get at least 2 bids and I think they have gotten as many as 4 in a given year. The Valley sucked last year, get over it. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 3, 2009 -> 06:08 PM) See more funny videos and funny pictures at CollegeHumor. WTF?????????? How do you even explain that? There were other times during that game where more than one lineman didn't move when Florida jumped offsides so it is apparently something they are taught to do. I have no idea why though and I don't know why he would be the only one not moving in this case. -

QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 2, 2009 -> 09:28 PM) Massively disappointing start to the season for the Gophers. The offense has been awful, and our young guys haven't progressed nearly as much as expected. This year could be a lot longer than previously expected. What is the latest on Royce White? -

Illinois's comeback was the 9th biggest 2nd half comeback ever, and 13 largest of all time irrespective of what half. -

Unless Florida St. comes up with a big comeback it looks like the Duke/Wisconsin game will decide the Big 10/ACC challenge. -

Also, the 2nd half proves my theory about Jordan. When he plays we suck, when he sits we are really f'ing good. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 2, 2009 -> 09:29 PM) That had to be AAU because I don't think Warren ever played Sterling. AGree on Bertrand being passive. I only saw him twice but that is what stood out to me. It was at a team shootout, during the summer. So it wasn't an official game but it was Warren v. Sterling. Bertrand has amazing talent but I'll be interested to see if he puts it together. If he does, our backcourt will be all kinds of nasty. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 2, 2009 -> 09:23 PM) Paul is just like he was in high school. If he hits his first shot of the game, you know he will have a great game. Awesome to see them comeback and him being huge after watching him in high school for 3 years. I'm in love with him and DJ. And what is funny is Bertrand destroyed them both head to head in HS but he is way too passive and I'm not sure that will change. I still want to see what he can do this year though. -

That was amazing. The 2nd half Illinois is the team I was expecting come into this year. Our starting 5 is really good. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 2, 2009 -> 08:43 PM) Illini back within 10. Time to put Jordan back in. Illinois has actually completely outplayed Clemson when McCamey has been on the floor. Oh, and Brandon Paul is going to be amazing once he improves his ballhandling a little bit and learns to play D with his length and athleticism. And he is already pretty damn good as it is. Paul and Richardson are going to be fantastic players. -

And McCamey gets called for a bulls*** 4th foul just as Illinois was making a run. Coincidence? -

QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 2, 2009 -> 08:06 PM) Thanks for nothing, Illinois/ I'm not surprised we are bad right now and really only have one guard who can really handle the ball and then DJ is solid. Paul can score but he doesn't handle it well. You take McCamey off the floor and replace him with a DIII caliber player for a half and you are in trouble against the press. With that said we would still be losing but those calls on McCamey pretty much ended any chance of Illinois winning tonight. Who calls a worse game college refs (not blaming them we really really suck) in general or NBA refs who point shave? -

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 2, 2009 -> 08:00 PM) Is Legion that deep in the doghouse where he can't even play over Jordan? Sort of, he is in the doghouse but Weber is under the very false impression that Jordan can handle the ball. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 2, 2009 -> 07:51 PM) Illinois is just awful without McCamey Yep, too bad the refs decided to call him for two cheap fouls and allow every other player on the court to hack and go over the back constantly. Also, if Bertrand gets healthy fairly soon I hope he just plays this year and doesn't redshirt. I never want to see Jordan on the court again. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 2, 2009 -> 07:44 PM) It's usually a tough call. So much goes into it and you have to make a judgment right away. I'm asuming you are thinking of the one in the beginning of the game where the Clemson guy was clearly moving. Yeah, Paul! That one was terrible and then Booker ran over Brandon Paul who had position for a couple of seconds and there was no call on him. -

Is there any call in sports that refs or officials screw up as often as the charge/block call in college basketball? It is ridiculous how terrible refs are at getting that right. -

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Dec 1, 2009 -> 09:58 PM) Goodness, this is by far the best UNC has played this year. I almost feel bad for MSU. Your guards are playing well tonight and with that frontcourt when Drew and Strickland play well you are going to be incredibly tough to beat. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 1, 2009 -> 09:59 PM) Cole is awful. Drew seems ok for now. I'll give him a chance. Cole there is no hope for but yeah Drew might end up being an ok character. If this show is going to be good Lucy is going to have to be a more interesting character and Turk and Cox are going to have to carry a real heavy load.
