  1. It is amazing how fast this IU team can fold when things don't go their way. A bunch of mental midgets.
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 31, 2009 -> 01:56 PM) Stanzi has thrown for 150 yards and 2 TDs the last 2 plays, good thing they didn't take my or Davies' advise and go to the back up. The wind must be howling. Two good throws but of course the receivers did basically everything on those plays. And I'm not sure what the hell IU has been doing on D.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 31, 2009 -> 01:47 PM) He did both. What exactly were you watching? 93 yd TD. Go Hawks He is leading with his shoulder what the f*** do you want the defensive player to do there.
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 31, 2009 -> 01:41 PM) Here's the rule. It was a penalty NCAA- College 2008 & Still Current Initiating Contact/Targeting an Oppenent 1. No player shall initiate contact and target an opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet. When in question, it is a foul. 2. No player shall initiate contact and target a defenseless opponent above the shoulders. When in question, it is a foul. Really because he didn't target the opponent with the crown of his helmet or initiate contact and target a defenseless opponent above the shoulder.
  5. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 31, 2009 -> 01:37 PM) Yeah...and someone on this board said he was the best senior QB in the Big Ten. He is only a JR.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 31, 2009 -> 01:35 PM) Helmet to helmet. It was an easy call. Just because helmets hit each other does not make it a penalty. If it was there would be personal fouls on a ton of tackles.
  7. And Iowa benefits from a bulls*** unnecessary roughness penalty again.
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 30, 2009 -> 04:10 PM) I haven't the slightest clue as to why they would do this. Maybe they think they have a chance to beat Sabbathia in game 4 even with Blanton pitching, then think they have a big edge in game 5 against Burnett with Lee? They sure didn't show much ability to hit Burnett if he is on his game so I don't get this all. I think this gives the Yankees the SP advantage in every game but game 5 now and the Yankees have a huge edge with Sabathia against Blanton and Hamels in games 4 and 7.
  9. Phillies going with a 4 man rotation and Blanton to start game 4. That means Lee only will start in game 5 and won't be available for more than a few innings if it goes 7. Huge advantage to the Yankees.
  10. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 29, 2009 -> 10:19 PM) Like one poster said a while back, it seems like every call always goes to the Yankees. It's been like that for years in the postseason. Meh the Yankees had a call against them tonight that might have cost them runs. That line drive definitely wasn't caught by Howard.
  11. And Utley was safe on the double play turned by the Yankees. At least the missed calls tonight have been close.
  12. Another missed call by the umpires but at least that was close. It is time for instant replay in baseball. Although I'm not sure how replay would handle those types of plays since how the defense continues the play is determined by the initial call.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 29, 2009 -> 03:18 PM) Chase and Pay Brian Kelly. No way the athletic department thinks that big unfortunately. And even if they did I doubt he would come here right now.
  14. What the f*** was Jeter doing? Trying to bunt with two strikes and I really dislike calling for him to bunt in that situation in the first place.
  15. Pedro and Cliff Lee have been terrific in this series but it amazes me how much the Yankees have expanded their strike zone in these first two games. They look like the White Sox right now, taking fast balls right down the pipe and then swinging at breaking balls outside of the zone. Now obviously the pitching has a lot to do with that but that isn't typical for this Yankees lineup. And as I type this Matsui hits a Yankee stadium HR and the Yanks lead 2-1.
  16. QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 29, 2009 -> 02:55 AM) Wrong, you can waste all of those kids at that town that is run by all kids. Either way, I didn't mean kill kids in fable, I just meant that you could kill civilians.. If you did bad things in fable, you became a bad person that was a thing IN the game. So stealing from and killing innocent people was somewhat promoted and I know thats the way I went with it. Either way, I doubt youre killing kids in MW2 and were on the same page here anyways. And anyway you wanna look at it, the terrorists get killed and good wins in the end anyways. Do you have a mod, because you aren't supposed to be able to directly kill any kids in Fallout 3 (though I've read you could actually kill kids in the previous Fallout games).
  17. QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 11:58 PM) How could you possibly be disappointed that this is in the game? Aside from the fact that the bad guys in the game are terrorists, its a flippin video game. Ever play Grand Theft Auto? Hell, the TITLE of the game alone is enough right there. How about any racing game that has other cars on the road that can be slammed into and wrecked, what about those poor people? In Fallout 3 you can kill ANYONE. Kids, women, old people. Same with Fable. There are plenty of games where civilians can be killed. The main thing here is its a fake video game. I don't see a problem. People are acting like there is a mission where you fly a plane into a building, come on. The game hasn't gone far at all, its a game about terrorism and that particular mission is suppose to enhance the superb storyline that this game has. Thats it. I agree with your point but you can't kill kids in Fable or Fallout. You can kill anyone else however, and in Fallout you can .
  18. I watch a ton of Jazz games and the more I watch Boozer the more I hate him as a basketball player. The Jazz are lucky they have the Knicks first round pick in this upcoming draft. Maybe they can finally get Deron Williams a real supporting cast.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 11:04 PM) And they got to keep the prospects they really wanted to keep. The Phillies aren't going anywhere for a while. On the other hand it has to really suck to be an Indians fan and watch Lee and Sabathia dominate the postseason when you got little in return for the two of them.
  20. Yankees bullpen outside of Rivera has really struggled this postseason. What looked like a big edge they had going into the WS could actually turn out to be a weakness.
  21. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 10:08 PM) Just this postseason. He's just seemed much more hittable overall, and looked worse tonight too (though he only gave up the 2 homers). The Yankees never really had a chance to score, and the Phils had atleast the one chance. And, though barely, the numbers do back it up. Sabathia has been fantastic and is a fantastic pitcher, I just think Lee is the superior pitcher at this point in time. Lee has been better but saying that Sabathia is not nearly as good implies Lee is much better and that just isn't the case.
  22. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 09:58 PM) I think the Phillies are a bit underrated again. It's going to be interesting to see what Pedro does tomorrow, but with Cliff Lee on their side, and Sabathia quite honestly not nearly as good as Lee is, they have a chance to take all 3 of those. It's only one game, but the Phillies chances of winning got astronomically better (assuming whoever comes in to pitch the 9th can hold a 4-run lead). How is Sabathia not nearly as good as Lee? I'd like to hear this.
  23. Hung the curveball and Ibanez gets the base hit. This Phillies lineup just kills you if you make mistakes.
