  1. QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 11:05 PM) Bruce Rondon? 3yrs of service time to start the season. Sox control him through 2020.
  2. Nice swing by TA, that's a HR in june.
  3. Hopefully that swing gets the team out of this funk
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 10:57 PM) Out of curiosity, do the Sox have long-ish term control over Bruce Rondon or is he treated like a typical MLB free agent on a 1-year deal? 3 years of control
  5. Rondon's K-rate plummeting.
  6. 1st pitch groundout would be my guess.
  7. Mallex Smith the MVP of the game for the Sox so far
  8. Somehow Avilan is only 28 yrs old, feels like he has been around forever.
  9. Davidson strikes out after seeing only one strike.
  10. Great catch by Kiermaier, that ball took off on him and he made it look easy.
  11. I'd walk Abreu if I were the Rays.
  12. Moncada is cheating right now. No chance on hitting the outside pitch or checking his swing.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 09:47 PM) Didn't Shields have 1 k in 11 innings coming in? Tampa is really an awful team. It's a pretty good International League lineup + Kiermaier
  14. Borderline call goes against Davidson. But if he establishes the reputation of a good eye he will get that benefit of the doubt. Too close to take though
  15. Raystalk.com if it exists is probably furios on their inability to score despie having 6 baserunners in 2 innings.
  16. 5 walks in 1.2 IP amazing
  17. To be fair Narvaez isn't doing him any favors. The way he receives the ball low just looks awkward.
  18. Watching Shields pitch is like watching paint dry. But at least it's only a couple more months, maybe less if the prospects perform in the minors.
  19. AAA by June and a September cup of cofffee and then being called up for good in May/June next year doesn't seem overly aggressive to me.
  20. Delmonico looks brutal in LF. But I still have faith that he becomes just below average instead of a straight up butcher. He is athletic enough to not be an embarassment there and he is still learning on the job, I like him as a long term bench bat and spot starter at LF/1B/DH. Like a Matt Stairs type of player.
  21. So it's one of the Rays' bullpen games?
  22. QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 03:16 AM) Joel Booker really deserves more time but that OF is packed I'd guess there will be a spot in Birmingham soon. This has to be the end of the line for Hawkins ans I don't think Eloy is in AA for more than one or two months.
  23. Yeah the Royals are the last team to win without a superstar. The only player that maybe passes as a star if you squint hard enough would be Cain but only because of his glove. Volquez,Ventura, Moustakas and Hosmer. were above average or even just average players.
  24. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 02:20 AM) This may be an unpopular opinion, but If Gio has a similar career to Floyd, it would be a great outcome for the Sox. I agree with you. Gavin was a really good pitcher until injuries derailed his career. If Moncada turns into the next Ray Durham I won't be complaining either.
