September 21, 200322 yr Just in the last day or so my computer has been bombarded with popup ads everytime I log on. It's ridiculous, I've never experienced anything like it before. About 20 things popup over and over. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how can I fix it? I downloaded some popup blocker but it is only a 15 day trial and isn't doing anything to help. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
September 21, 200322 yr IT may be a type of code on your computer that is launching the popup ads cause this board doesn't have any. Try erasing your temporary files and stuff like taht and see if it clears the script thats sending you pop ups. Hopefully that works.
September 21, 200322 yr Ok that was weird...I just got a pop up when trying to do something. Some yahoo popup. First one I've ever gotten.
September 21, 200322 yr go to google.com and get the google toobar. it works like a charm and you can search google from any site you are on.
September 21, 200322 yr o ya and it tells you how many popups its ever blocked and after about two weeks it has blocked 478 pop-ups!
September 21, 200322 yr I only got popups when I clicked on the search area of hte board. I think somehow it is using yahoo to search the board and thats why its getting a pop up. I think its something yahoo somehow put on your computers when you go there. Just a guess though, cause I know this coding is pop up free.

September 21, 200322 yr Pop Up Stopper - priceless I have pop-up stopper and it works great. I think one pops up once a month, but other than that I almost forget what a pop-up looks like.
