FS: Why certain prospects should, and should not, be promoted

Featured Replies

Good stuff per usual.

I still see no good reason to keep throwing Dunning out in Kanny. He's not being challenged and I don't think it does him any good to keep dominating lesser opponents.

Moncada could actually come up on May 15th and still be under control for 7 seasons. He'd probably qualify for Super 2 Status though.

He absolutely would be a Super 2. If you figure that typically the deadline is two months-ish into the season. It might be August before he passes the Super 2 deadline.

I'm not sure they are worried about Super 2 Status, but I wouldn't mind him staying down longer anyway.

Surprised there was no Matt Cooper.

Good call. Though I think he's a promotion candidate to the bullpen in Charlotte, but won't move until Stephens returns.

Gonna be a lot of angry people if they stick him in the bullpen anytime soon. I know they've made mention of it before but he's done nothing but produce in the rotation as a professional so far.

Sox coaches, two of them, have told me they see him as a reliever in the majors. But both were more than a year ago. Maybe they've changed their minds. We'll know for sure when Stephens comes back.

Oh I know that's how they at least have viewed him in the past. Think he's earned his chance to stay in the rotation for now though.

Best line of the article. Gave me a good laugh with Will Lamb

"If you google news search his name, you get pictures of premature lambs."

On a serious note does anyone see Tyler Danish getting promoted anytime soon? Covey hasnt been lights out and if they want to take it slow with Rodon he is doing well enough to come up.
