November 12, 20178 yr Mine- Wellington Castillo, Tyler Chatwood, Jeremey Hellickson, Tommy Hunter, Jake McGee, Luke Gregerson, Chris Tillman, Kevin Siegrest, Hector Santiago. Not a whole lot of hitters I’m interested in...who else is out there?
November 14, 20178 yr Bullpen guys on short term deals to flip: Ian Krol - LHRP - from Hinsdale Jake McGee - LHRP Huston Street - RHRP Juan Nicasio - RHRP Starting pitcher: Miles Mikolas RHSP - Potential reclamation after excelling in Japan, provides rotation insurance OF/DH Curtis Granderson - If Avi and Abreu are traded, provides a respected clubhouse veteran that can play multiple positions (RF/LF/DH, CF in a pinch) None of these guys should break the bank and outside of Granderson, all have potential that could lead to flipping them to get long term assets back.
November 14, 20178 yr QUOTE (oldsox @ Nov 13, 2017 -> 04:51 PM) Chatwood is an excellent pinch runner. wait.. really?
November 14, 20178 yr Anthony Gose - LHP who is a converted OF that hit triple digits off the mound last year. Could be a minor league free agent add with big upside if our pitching coaches can work their magic while also adding an interesting dimension to the major league team if we keep him for the contention window. He has played both CF and RF and is very fast, twice stealing 70 bases in a year. Could be a late inning defensive/base running replacement as well as a bullpen arm during the playoffs.
November 14, 20178 yr Trade scenario. Jose Abreu (To the Cards) for Carson Kelly (To the Sox) STRAIGHT UP. Who says no?
November 14, 20178 yr QUOTE (cjgalloway @ Nov 14, 2017 -> 04:39 PM) Trade scenario. Jose Abreu (To the Cards) for Carson Kelly (To the Sox) STRAIGHT UP. Who says no? The Sox say no. Abreu is worth more than Kelly alone.
November 15, 20178 yr QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Nov 14, 2017 -> 04:47 PM) The Sox say no. Abreu is worth more than Kelly alone. I would be absolutley stuned if anyone gave a better prospect. I think you're looking at someone around 75-100 ++. I'd rather take the one guy at 40.
