Just saw this article was posted to the official site and came to link to it here on soxtalk. I've been looking forward to following this kid since we picked him up - just such an interesting story all around. Our area scout was through the roof on this dude back then, hard to not be interested.

I'd be shocked if Abbott is out of rookie ball this year. When they drafted him they talked about him being a two years in rookie ball type of guy because of how raw he is.

Cool that he went with Robert and Micker to the Dominican Instructional league.

Playing independent ball in Gary this year. Probably done in the Sox system.
