Hahn also said Carlos Rodon, while making good progress, will not pitch in a Cactus League game. First outing expected in extended spring training. June return most likely. Not unexpected.

Smart.

There's no reason to rush anybody dealing with any sort of injury while the team is still in a rebuilding phase.

60-day DL stint will also open a spot on the 40 for a reliever.

Carson Fulmer's leash just got a little longer.

Carson Fulmer's leash just got a little longer.

Hoping he can prove himself as a starter in '18, finished '17 real strong

Good call on Rodon, Sox need him healthy more in 19 than 18.

GM Rick Hahn said Carlos Rodon 'actually moved up the schedule a few days based on how he was feeling.' A late May return is not out of the question, he said. Rodon has graduated to throwing sliders in bullpens. Up to 30-35 pitches in last.
