Also Cleveland played nearly 50% of their games against the ALC. The Sox only played 20% of their games against the ALE. So it's not much of a comparison.

I was just more amazed that the Sox did so well vs the AL East. 

But my research showed that every AL team outside the Central,  other than Baltimore, had a plus .500 record vs the Central.

And Cleveland had the 5th best record in the AL, only a game better than Tampa, who finished 7 games out of a playoff spot. 

I think the biggest lesson to learn from Cleveland is to never trust a bullpen, they can fall apart at a moment's notice. That's why those guys are in the bullpen.
