Shields isn't half bad when he's pounding the zone

Hey man, I'm (of all people) trying to start this night on a positive note.

  • Jose Abreu

There goes Moncada's baserunning value on fangraphs, just because we didn't want to challenge

Abreu gets robbed like every other AB nowadays

Delmonico seems very likeable as a person, but he’s quite the opposite as a baseball player.

I can't say I disagree but you chose an odd time to post it following a good AB

I keep hearing about his good AB’s. If you continue to have good AB’s with crap results combined with below average defense, I’m not going to care about “good AB’s.”

Well that same logic is why you hated Moncada in April, and look at him now. There is objective data that tells you when an AB features a "good" result, and a 1+ month sample size is not nearly enough for these things to even out.

Of course Nicky's defense is awful, unlike Yoan's but that's not my point.

E3. Gimme a break.

Stone is right, that one appears to be Abreu’s fault.

Abreu is very bad defensively

I didn’t *hate* Moncada. I said he was striking out too much and that he should have swung at more first pitch fastballs. Neither, to my knowledge, were incorrect although perhaps I was a tad impatient.

Delmonico has no power, doesn’t hit for average, doesn’t walk much and has s***ty defense. Of course I don’t care much as he won’t be on the roster in 2021, but for the time being, it’s painful to watch.

Good, they changed it

Are you saying that’s on Moncada or should be an E3?

They fixed it.

I’m surprised we haven’t used Davidson at 1B much.  You’d figure he’d be pretty good there or at least an improvement over Abreu.

Shields pitchin like he wants that option picked up

Sounds like Yolmer might start seeing time in the outfield

Anyone else starting to think Ricky will be gone at years end?

Fegan has been reporting it for a couple days

That was hilarious

Nope after next season

At times Anderson can be borderline unwatchable. He has so many tools though. I hope he can put it all together some day

That's just an awful approach by Anderson.  No reason to swing weakly on first pitch slow and outside breaking pitch
