Seriously. He was more than halfway to first before he started running. I normally don't have a problem with watching a shot, but that was way excessive.

Why do players do things that could act as a motivatational force for their opponents.

 

Not like the A's really need anymore motivation though. 0-8 in elimination games with this current club and it could be worse.

woManny is not only one of the laziest pieces of s*** in baseball today, he's now one of the least classy pieces of s*** too.

 

Hopefully Brenneman and Lyons admonish ShamME if he hops in the Florida series the same way they just ripped woManny.

As much as it could be motivation, they have 12 outs to get at least 3 off PEDRO. That could take more than anger at watching a ball fly. Perhaps if Manny comes up with 2 down, no one on, he'll get drilled.

Don't count on it. Those two love Sammy and the Cubs more than the Tribune it seems. Though Brenneman did condemn Sammy to a degree for never really admitting the truth behind the cork. BUT you know that they would just laugh about the hop because it is Sammy and his kid-like giddiness about the game. :fyou

I didn't see it, but heard Lyons sort of give an excuse for his antics, but then Brenneman pied up and called it "weak". That really surprised me. From what he said and what I'm reading here, it must have been really excessive.

 

I'm sure he wants to win and all, but Manny looked like he was told he won $10 at the local Knights of Columbus raffle. He could not have looked more disinterested. I guess he's too cool to look excited.

Manny's never been one of my favorite players, but the dude has been an RBI machine his whole career.

Betcha he'll be playin in a different uniform next year if Boston can find a taker for him.

Yeah but if u think bout it, Pedro comes out of contract end of next year and I think Nomar does as well. They'll want to improve their bullpen as well, it's like us with Maggs, I just don't think he'll be around next year. Anythin's possible, just look at da Hampton deal.
