  • I don't get this game, but this stat line for Lopez really stands out. 6 IP, 3 BB, 2 H, 10 Ks.  Remember how we were talking about how his ERA was dramatically better than his peripherals in part

  • Nice k of ohtani

I think Trout is now 6 for his last 6

7 for his last 7 I thought

I'm extremely encouraged about what I've seen since 8/1 from both Lopez and Giolito. They're both looking like mid-rotation pieces currently.

Ever since he got back, Castillo, at least as a hitter, seems to be no more than a shadow of his former self.

I wonder if the Sox will just move on from him? The organization has taken a hard line on PEDS

In what way? Melky Cabrera, bringing in Canseco and Manny, other guys that have suspensions in the minors. What stands out with the Sox taking a hard line?

Ryan Cordell struck out on Ball 4,  He is pathetic.

Late on parade , not missed much by the looks .

Moncada has got to be more aggressive at the plate. The pitchers seem to be getting him on a lot of outside pitches that he just takes

Lopez is doing much better than our other starters thus far this month.  Hope he can keep it up for the rest of the season.

Nice Tim

Is it just me or does it seem the umps are not calling that low strike zone for our pitching? Framing issue by our catchers maybe

Why do so many of our hitters persist in swinging on pitches outside the strike zone?

They take the close pitches in the zone and swing at the ones clearly outside

I don't understand the answer, Frank never used PED's.

Well you got 1 and that will be all.

Lopez 98 MPH on pitch 100.

That should be it for Lopez. 6 innings 2 hits  0 runs 3 BB 10 K's. Outstanding !

Hopefully this time Hamilton can stay in the game for more than just one inning so we can see what he can do.
