HAVE PATIENCE

Featured Replies

Last night I was screaming at the TV  asking why would Renteria leave Santana in when he obviously had nothing.  The last few days I have been venting about Palka, Sanchez and even Coop.  Good thing Ricky wasn't listening to me.  Santana found his old self and looked good after the 2nd inning.  Palka found a way to get on base a couple times and Sanchez made a play or two that Rondon would not have made.  Maybe these guys who have spent their entire lives on a baseball field do know a little about the game.  Great to see Castillo contribute and Colome looked like the real deal.  The Sox are not good yet but they do have some exciting guys.  The game was very watchable.  Have patience.

Yes, as a fan its always good to have some humility. How can we who have daily jobs know it all compared to a person who has spent his entire life in the game of baseball.  Although, we do sometimes have a say and we do have some good helpful points.

I started watching the game last night when it was already 3-0.  My son had been watching it and promptly told me that Santana sucked.  He did look pretty bad early, but he seemed to lock in and pitch better towards the end.  He doesn't have much velocity, but if he can command his off-speed stuff, he could be a serviceable innings-eater.

It's hard to be patient, even going into a season that we knew was going to be rough.  But yesterday's game made me feel better about giving these guys a chance.

Thats nice and all, but Palka and Yolmer Sanchez are complete shit.  Cordell should be getting all of Palkas ABs right now.

I'm not sure Cordell OR Palka are any sort of answer in RF. Ditto Micker Adolfo. Too bad there wasn't a lefty hitting right fielder available in free agency this offseason, huh.

Cool, what has their collective war been? I would rather look at the overall picture than the one game sample size. Yolmer has had good offensive production the last two games, but it doesnt negate his awful start in any way. Ditto for Palka. We lost games because of those two.

Go preach patience somewhere else.

Starting in 2007, nine of the last 12 years have been bad ones. Patience does have a limit.

Sanchez is a good clubhouse guy, so I would leave him around until Jay comes back, although let Rondon start.  What to do with Palka? There has to be a better hitter an defender ready in the minors?

With 3 OFs raking in AAA needing an audition, is there a need for Jay at all?

I wish people would realize Sox vs. Royals games mean nothing, like spring training games. Yes these two teams are that bad. Fathom could have homered off Boxberger who lobbed one in there vs. Castillo. No offense, I want to win every game and I'm glad we won, especially against KC, but you have to realize KC is a different kind of bad. Nothing we see in a Sox-KC game should be taken as reality.

There is definite need for Jay if we are in hunt for winning this division.  Palka, Garcia, Sanchez can be sent down.
