July 28, 20196 yr I know it's another rebuilding year. So wins and losses aren't exceptionally important right now. But with Kopech and Rodon coming back next year, plus Giolito, plus Lopez? Plus the quality starting pitcher they should bring in from outside the organization, Covey shouldn't see a major league mound again for the White Sox. Today was the second time now just since the break that this major league imposter hasn't gotten out of the first inning giving us any chance to win. The fans who went to the game today, do deserve something better then what the ridiculously pathetic Covey provided.

When someone is this astronomically bad, yes, it deserves its own thread. Five batters and five runs, sorry, but we could have put Matt Davidson in our starting rotation at the start of the year and he would never have had a line like that. Five batters, five runs, I think, in only 13 pitches. Covey after today will have a career record of 6 and 28 with the Sox. How much more do they have to see? Release him tonight.
July 28, 20196 yr He had a run before landing on the DL that made me think, "Okay, maybe he won't be good but a serviceable swing man". Boy was I wrong.
