Great outing by Cease. With 104 pitches, he's likely done.

  • I'm bought in on TA, Moncada, Cease, Eloy, Gio.  The main person I'm all about now is Collins. I want him to solve our LH OBP problem.

You start off by saying you might have jumped the gun on Collins and then IMMEDIATELY write off his catching.  Didnt he catch Thursdays game...when people said he was a terrible hopeless catcher...and

He's looking like he might have a shot to get above that now lol.

Does it have to do with Sanchez and Abreu's uniform numbers? Otherwise please explain it went right over my head.

Palka had 2 hits ALL YEAR. He has 2 tonight.

2 hits in the same game for Palka ! Palk smash

Palka with a multi hit game.  Am I dreaming?

Where's the Rally Engel????

And with that hit, every player on the Sox has at least 1 hit.

Hey.

Hey, guys.

Guess what.

I think DET might be bad at baseball.

No in the other thread after I said Cease had his ERA under 6 he promptly gave up a run and it was back over 6 and he blamed me for jinxing him. So now I said it again but I can't jinx him this time because he's done pitching for the night.

Ok. Makes sense.

He jinxed Cease earlier saying his ERA was lower than 6. Then he proceeded to give up a run which brought his ERA back up to 6+. Now he lowered it again after his outing.

Yes, the Tigers are very bad at this baseball thing.

Maybe we are just now becoming very good.?

You are Mr. Optimist. I'm right there with you, but I have to see what they do this winter before I get too excited. December can't come soon enough, and then after that Spring Training. Luckily I have the Blackhawks to hold me over as they're also quietly building another juggernaut. It might take a few more seasons but I'm really excited about their future as well.

Guys good Kelvin Herrera is back. He's lowered his ERA a full run since coming off the IL.

Just jumping in to say this game didn’t suck

I'm not supposed to talk about them on this board until after the Bye week.

I've already given up on them. I'd have to see a lot from No. 10 the rest of the season to convince me otherwise. I've written them off as having the ceiling of the 2008-09 team. 7 wins at worst, 9 at best. It feels like they have Orton at QB again.

You could use a little more patience.  Instant gratification doesn't work well for the Chicago Sports fan.

OMG Eloy is going to be an absolute monster in 2020. I can't wait to rub it in the face of Cub fans while they blow up their team this winter.

C'mon Zack if Palka can get 2 hits in a game so can you !

You're probably right. It's harder in football where there is only one game per week.

Ump says, 9 run lead swing the bat. as McCann is wrung up on a pitch out of the zone.
