Trade Candidates: Hitters

I get it. Many fans like flash and HR's...but that to me is not what makes a good hitter. Hitters that can work counts, move runners over, get on base, make contact, and sacrifice their own at bats for the best of the team are the best hitters. The Astros hitters are a great example of this.

Well when they know what pitches are coming I'm sure that helps their hitters

  • I don't think Robert will be ready this season. He is still too raw and strikeouts way too much.

If they are all quality hitters, I absolutely don't care. Of course I would *prefer* a lefty, but it's not going to make me cross a meaningful upgrade off my list.

Will Chicago offer him the most money?

If the money is close to NYY or CLE or TOR he's going there

Except none of those teams need DHs.  Maybe Toronto would pending some of their moves this offseason, but EE's options are going to be VERY limited.  There are only 2 or 3 clubs that make any inkling of sense.  Which is why he will likely be very cheap.

He has close to the same market that Martinez had.

Sox, Jays, Rangers, Rays, maybe Mariners again lol.
