Other team(s) you'll root for this season?

I don't see how they're going to compete with the Yankees and Astros.

It's going to be really hard to get out of the AL. It's incredibly top heavy.

They're going to have to make the playoffs the entire upcoming half decade to get one WS.

Every team in the AL says the same thing every year. How can we compete with the Yankmees? The answer is that money doesnt always buy the best team. It's not the NBA where one player can take over the whole game. Or the NFL where the best player the QB always has control of the ball. The best pitcher can only pitch every 5th day and the best hitter only gets a chance every 9th time through the lineup. Over a long season those average out but the short series is the ultimate equalizer.

If Jerry won’t put a good team on the field after 3 years of rebuilding, why should fans spend their hard earned money on tickets and concessions?

Don't spend your money on them then. It's easy. Nobody is making you. No one also cares about grand announcements of throwing aside your fandom.

15 teams didn't reach it last year. Only half made it. That would say it is somewhat difficult.

Maybe it is.  Imagine only doing it twice in the past decade.

Moncada, Giollito, Anderson, Eloy, Abreu, Robert, Kopech, Cease, Grandal ...... yeah, let me go find another team to root for this season.    Man up b****es.   The Sky isn't falling.

See the Brewers in 2018, or Nats as the Wild Card team this year...Royals in 2014, White Sox in 2005, etc.

You're right about the hottest team often just gets on a roll and rides it all the way, with the obvious problem being we haven't even had the opportunity to try for going on 12 years.

Whether that's harder to take than the Twins losing 15 consecutive playoff games to the Yankees, I'm not altogether sure...but at least they got to enjoy six months of the regular season.

Shutting this down. RELAX
