Anyone who had access have any worthwhile statements / comments to share?

Thanks in advance.

Well this place looks to have some deals.  Jerry never steers me wrong.   Wow look at that a RF with a known name is only 7M dollars.  That other guy banged on drums and wants 25m.  Look at this pitcher, I exchanged the one we got in our previous swap for only 8 million.  That other guy flies drones and sounds crazy and wants 30 million.  Oooh look in the back, they have fixer upper pitchers for half off.  Wow this place is great.

The press conference posted below. Rick was much, much happier than the Hanoi Hilton conference held in late October.

  • 2:00 - 3:30: Talked about Dane Dunning, praised him as a quality player.
  • 3:35 - 4:10 : High praise for Avery Weems and those who acquired and developed him.
  • 4:10 - 5:35: Bruce Levine kisses Rick Hahn's ass and wastes everyone's time.
  • 7:00: Just looking at this year, Dunning vs. Lynn.
  • 8:00 - 9:30: Process long term through 2020, short term now. Maximize chances to win in the "present". Lynn been on the radar the past few seasons.
  • 9:30: Like the Top 3 of Rotation, looking for Cease to step up and work with Ethan, Kopech and Lopez noted. They will still look for pitching either this Winter or next year.
  • 10:30 - 11:30: Lynn gives you innings and playoff front end quality, price wasn't easy to pay.
  • 12:25 - First good question, Hahn won't comment regarding Lynn contract extension.
  • 12:50 -  14:10: COVID / Budget - Hahn says he has a sense of payroll availability, influenced by uncertainty, possible additional resources along the way.
  • 14:20: Second good question: Hahn asked if Tony's involvement and discussions in player acquisitions. Hahn says he "feels it's the same as other managers, though Tony has more experience on the scouting side, player development and "analytics". Tony has strong opinions about what he needs, Rick says the dynamic is the same as with the other managers.
  • 17:40 - Third good question: Hahn offered no comment on the Adam Eaton deal. Cheshire Cat smile after.
  • 18:20 - 20:10 : Do you need a closer? It's not a must, Tony can manage a bullpen, it's an area they will continue to look at. Follow-up re: Cease, Hahn looking to see him after working with Katz. Then 2 1/2 more minutes of worthless Bruce Levine. Seriously, WTF.
  • 24:00 - 24:30: Fourth good question - Paul Sullivan asked about the LaRussa DUI and fan reaction to it. Hahn won't talk until the legal process is exhausted and Tony has a chance to speak.

Not much else from Hahn or Lynn.

Can we collectively now and hereafter refer to Bruce Levine as Father Time?

Perhaps a board filter can be created too. ?

Thank you for the highlights @South Side Hit Men. It is good, but I prefer Bruce's highlights
