White Sox Future

Featured Replies

I recall sitting at the ball park in 2013 feeling despondent. It wasn't just that the Sox were on their way to losing almost 100 games. The club seemed rudderless, with no leadership and direction. The future looked totally bleak.

As fun as this season has been, I see much more at stake. The team has a real chance to become an elite Major League franchise not only for this year, but for this decade. They won't go to the World Series every year, but it would be great to see that the rest of the American League will know it will have to go through Chicago to go to Series. It will be great to know that this will be the case for more than one year.

The rebuild was no fun, but we are finally seeing the results. I'm hoping that 2021 is only the start. I'm hoping the rebuild will truly be completed and that real history will be made on the South Side.

The future is bright on 35th. Try not to get caught up in the day-to-day and enjoy the ride.

The future being bright was the whole point of my post. Just how bright is the real question. Like I said, I am hoping real history will be made and made for a long time.

Let's win the division and go from there.  A lot of baseball left to be played from these players in these unis. That said, the future certainly looks promising; the injuries have in a strange way revealed quite a bit of org depth we might have either traded away low or otherwise overlooked.

I don’t think you have to hope 2021 is only the start.

The Sox have arguably the greatest collection of young talent ever assembled in the history of the game.

Barring asteroids or acts of war…the AL pennant goes through Chicago for the next 5-10 years

Or work stoppage ?

It's very hard to predict the future in baseball but I'd rather be the Sox than most of the other teams.

we have enough talent moving through the organization when you look around the league  at Sox castoffs like Marcus Semien and FTJ which is rather an elite potential  combination, there for the taking. The misuse of resources has been the key keeping this franchise down where it has been. Just have to avoid the impatience, and build by maintaining what we got going for us. I hate trade deadline man. We should probably unplug the phones if anything.
