May 27, 20223 yr I can't imagine a much worse fate than the SRO crowd for this series, but apparently they are out there.
May 27, 20223 yr SRO to watch a pair of teams who collectively gave up 36 runs yesterday>? Sure why not? Bound to be a pitchers duel
May 27, 20223 yr There is no way in hell I'd stand to watch a Sox-Cubs game. This series has long outlived its usefulness. Time to end it.

While I agree with you and would perfectly content with splitting same market teams by AL/NL and have no interleague games when they go 16/16, we know now with pitchers not hitting, they have no reason not to go to geographic realignment. The Sox and Cubs will be playing 11 games minimum by the end of this decade, and there’s nothing we can do about it.

If they go strictly by geography, we might still avoid that: Northeast: TOR, BOS, NYY, NYM, PHI Southeast: BAL, WAS, ATL, TB, MIA Great Lakes: PIT, CLE, CIN, DET, SOX Midwest: CHC, MIL, MIN, STL, KC West: TEX, HOU, ARI, COL, SEA California: SD, LAD, LAA, SF, OAK

And if they move to geographic realignment, Sox-Cubs games would make sense and have a real importance. But right now, it is more hype than anything. At the moment, it is more important for the Sox to beat the Twins than to beat the Cubs, as much I hate losing to the Cubs.
