False.

I mean that's true per his own words. Whether they listen to him is different

  • Me. Ill buy the White Sox. I have $340

  • Definitely. As all sports orgs have seen the last 30 years, moving to growing, transient populations like Tampa or Charlotte are surefire ways to get tons of revenue.

The Trumps will do to the Sox what they did to the country: Run the team into the ground.

Probably then 4 ys later sell to another owner who would quadruple the cost of everything☺️

I have nothing but respect for Ron's trolling abilities. A subtle mention of the name Trump as a potential buyer of the Sox and the smooth brains can't help but take the bait and derail the thread.

"The team would be run into the ground!!!!"

"Don't forget the bankruptcies!!"

They just can't resist when they see the name, "Trump."

Admittedly, the sources I've seen indicating that the selling of the franchise upon his death are several years old. But the point was that his will/trust structure required the sale and that the directive was legitimate. If that's the case, and the will etc. are contested, the outfit could be in limbo for awhile.
Both articles I saw were in legal journals from 2018 time frame and I haven't found them in new searches.
Most of us have seen the earlier news releases on the matter. This, among other sources from 2013:
