Put Jeff Kent Jr.(AKA Jake Burger) at 2B for the rest of the season.

Or leave him at third, and if Moncada decides he wants to play again, throw him at 2B. Moncada should not be the priority unless he decides to pick up his game.

Suggest Tony buy a one-way for the ASG and call it a career. We are past due for change and it's time for mgt to do something.

Burger has a .700 OPS overall and .602 vs RHP, so let's not get carried away. Yes, he's been clutch recently and seems great compared to what our other 2B/3B are doing, but Burger at 2B is not a move that wins you anything. This team is going to get things turned around by having Moncada and Leury/Harrison start producing better, or replacing them externally. Burger is fine to spell Moncada or even DH vs LHP, but he's not an every day player nor a 2B at this point.

Jake is the best option we have in house. Going outside will cost something in return. With a thin minor league system, staying in house

is probably the thing to do. The only way to find out if he's ready for a full time job,is to give him one.

He's not an option at 2B. He's just not. Neither is Moncada. If you have to stay in house, let Mendick play 2B once TA is back.

I think you're wrong. Jake is a much better athlete than people believe because of his build. He is actually a little faster than the average MLB player,

with soft hands and a good arm. There is no rule that says a second baseman has to look a certain way.

Both Burger and Moncada need to start hitting a lot better before playing both of them in the infield should even be considered.

Compared to who? Mendick is playing short for the next 3 weeks, and Leury and Josh are really bad right now.

Compared to plus value defensive 2B. Whether that be Mendick, Harrison or Leury, those guys provide plus value playing 2B compared to shifting Burger or Moncada over there. If we reach a point where both of them are putting up an OPS of 750+, then you start to consider playing them both, but until then, you plug in the one of the actual middle infielders that's sucking the least at the moment and let Moncada and Burger battle each other for playing time at 3B.

Moncada-Abreu-Robert-Grandal 0-14 with one walk. Is something going amiss with the Cuban Connection?

Yes, its called LaRussa and Menechino!

WTG Jake! Is there still a reason Jake needs to PH and not play 3rd regularly?. Until Moncada can get his act together, Burger should be the daily starting 3rd baseman.
