Looks like this teenage Cuban named Luis Morales is going to be the best prospect to come out of next year's international class. The article reads as though the A's are the favorite to land him. I am surprised the White Sox would not be one of the favorites because of their connection to Cuba and their strategy of going after quality rather than quantity in the international pool.

I wouldn't be surprised if the international guys that are in the Sox system currently told them all not to come here because management doesn't know how to run a baseball team.

Guess that's a positive for baseball when the worst franchise now still can ink the very best intl pitching prospect.

Why they need a Beltran or Espada type.

Sure, at their lowest now, but by the time he's MLB ready they won't be in the Coliseum and Oakland has an uncanny ability to put a winner on the field regularly.  I'd take them over the White Sox right now as a 19 year old.
