I have a cousin whose grandparents have a winter place a little south of Daytona Beach. A few of the cousins are driving down right after Christmas to help them move in and stick around for New Year's.

Nice to have relatives in warm places! My sister was in St Pete (Florida not Russia) and I mooched off her for a few days a while back

I have nothing going on for Christmas this year and I couldn't be more excited.  Just going to be me, beer and basketball.  Perfect.

As y'all know I'm an idiot. I'll be heading north to the frozen tundra of northern Illinois. But first we'll hole up in Hermann, Mo with a few bottles of Stone Hill Wine, then Saint Charles before making the rest of the way to my parents.

New Years on the beach back in warmer south Texas.

This is how I feel about the Super Bowl. I’d be ecstatic if I never got invited to another SB party and could just sit and watch the game myself.

Really? Minus 7 on Thursday. Just my luck.

How about NYE plans? I have a couple places to go, not sure if I will though. At my age I doubt I'll be vertical to watch the ball drop at Times.

Anyone else have anything fun planned?
