I was watching the game with my dad and was asking him before it happened if he could remember the last game he saw with no RBI. The weirdest part of that last play to me was it was a bullseye to the umpires mask. He didn’t flinch at all. I’m sure he assumed it would be caught but at some point you would think he would be able to tell it wasn’t going to happen and make a little move.

According to STATS what happened today (all runs scored on wild pitches, no RBI's) has NEVER happened at least since the "live ball" was brought into the game in 1920.

If you watched that game and took that from it, you can't enjoy baseball.

Yes, it's bad form in a Win Celebration thread. Time to celebrate when we can, plenty of other threads for other sentiments.

Winning Ugly winner ! Circa 1983

The 1983 team had lots of players you could like.  Fisk, Baines, Luzinski, Hoyt, Kittle, Law.  This team has maybe Burger.

I enjoy winning not empty promises by incompetent front office's.

I like baseball but I LOVE the White Sox.

Big difference. When the Sox are awful I don't take a lot of enjoyment watching other well run organizations succeed in the sport.

I’ve been coasting off the fumes of growing up a White Sox fan.  I’ve tuned them out in current times.  I read about them obviously but can’t justify spending time watching them.  As a new part time Florida resident I do get enjoyment out of following the Rays and watching them.  I thought I would find it difficult but it hasn’t really been difficult.  I may even buy a partial Ray’s season ticket package next year.

How’s that exactly?

Rays are usually a very good team playing in a pretty  awful environment.  Rays are edging ahead of Kc for attendance this season but time will tell.

Yeah the fans around Tampa don’t really deserve them.  Year in and year out they put out a good product and nobody shows up.
