That Cease trade really sucked

Thorpe not eligible for this list and he was the centerpiece.  Honestly, there is still time for that trade to pay off, but they need one sure fire contributor out of it and it can’t just be Iriarte as a setup guy.  Either Thorpe has to come back healthy with a bit more velocity than we saw and make his fastball less hittable or Iriarte has to correct his fastball shape and get his K rate back in check or Zavala has to fix his swing / approach and be a dude who can make some contract and impact a baseball.

This article says the franchise made $60M  in revenue from their RSN in 2022. I think they’re lucky if they’re getting even 1/4 of that in 2025. The only major carrier I know with a deal in place is direct tv. No one is paying $20/month to subscribe directly to watch crappy teams play especially when they can watch the same crappy teams with a $20 antenna.

$20 a month isn't a bad deal. It got me to cancel my $200/month Comcast plan to watch the bulls. I tired the OTA antenna. It kept having issues with signal quality and having the the DVR options with the app seemed like a fair deal at $20.

How many fans are willing to pay $120+ just to watch a 110+ loss Sox team though???

By definition of some, all of them. Because that’s what defines a fan, apparently.

How close was Grant Taylor to making the list? He was in the running for #1 overall pick before arm surgery.

Sox rolled the dice in early 2nd round and may have hit a grand slam. Was dominant after his return before

a lat injury(Maybe caused by rust from layoff). He, Schultz and Smith are the future for us. Realistically, if two

of these guys just don't get hurt, 2026-27 could be very different than today.

98 slots away.
