Very reliable out of the bullpen with those great Sox pitching staffs in the 1960s. Another pitcher along with Wilbur Wood who Hoyt Wilhelm taught how to throw the Knuckleball. May he rest in peace.

Was the Fireman of the Year in 1965. He had a terrific season.  Sox got him in the Billy Pierce deal. Also he did a spot-on imitation of Donald Duck.

For some reason I’ve always remembered another guy the Sox received in that trade by the name of Dominick Zanni, lasted a year and a half with the Sox.

Eddie put up some awesome numbers in the Sox bullpen , RIP

I think I have a baseball card of him somewhere.

RIP Eddie.

I wanna say 2006 or 2007 we had a knuckleballer up briefly. Charlie? Didn't he commit suicide?

Charlis Haeger

He was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot at the Grand Canyon on October 3, 2020, shortly after the suspected murder of his ex-girlfriend.[2]
