And McCarthy never had a season like last year...but that's why securing an open MLB GM spot is harder than getting elected to the US Senate. At least it should be.

It's also very scary that the company line seems to be their player development can only develop a very narrow focus of players, and doesn't seem to have the ability to do anything with most, even very highly talented and thought of players. We are talking about multiple consensus first round draft picks, but somehow this organization isn't able to do anything with them. That's a big red flag to me.
