Great move. I know from speaking with her over the past few years she and Brooks didn't see eye to eye. Maybe they patched things up.

Great news! She is a top 10 figure in Comiskey Park history or Sox history. ... Hey Lip, since u know her ... did she want to retire? Or did management want to kill the organ music? Is she as nice as she appears to be? Any chance she'd return for more than 1 game a week?

I talked to her at a Thunderbolts game last summer. Told her we loved her and asked if she was ever coming back to the ballpark. She very plainly said they need to ask me first.....glad whatever it is is worked out for now. I'll go to games just for her.

That's neat she keeps it real and tells it like it is and doesn't lie or sing the company song. ... Prolly learned that from our great tell it like it is announcers over the years: Harry, Piersall, Stoney, Lou Brock (kidding), JC Martin (kidding).

Nancy had to have fun in the summer of 77 with the Hit Men. Lip ... please ask her if that was her favorite year to work or maybe a year they made the playoffs.

she didn’t start it did she? The fans were doing first? I always heard it was Chet Lemon’s song. No idea. Maybe I’m wrong, but she definitely takes credit for it.

She started it at times in the 1976 season and it blew up (in a good way) in that wonderful 1977 season.

Nancy's the GOAT when it comes to sports organists, glad she is coming back part time. She was playing some spring training games too in AZ so not entirely surprised.

EPSN (SportsCenter) did a spot on this way back. I can't find a YouTube link but you can watch it here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=458680482015482 (if you have a Facebook account) But she and/or the Sox are credited for making it a thing in sports.

Not many great "live" organists left these days. Most of what you hear is just recorded crap spewed through the loudspeaker. Jeremy Boyer in STL is a good one.

also - little drunk side-tangent. The Sox also have an organist in the minors here in NC- "Greazy Keyz". Jason Atkins. Organist for the Checkers and has a spot in Kanny. He has a wireless "Keytar" he plays between innings on the concourse which is pretty cool.
