Perez.

He's been so good. 1.000 OPS the last month, I'd like see him at AA before he turns 21. Albertus is no slouch either, but out for the rest of the year. Vargas might end up being the worst player in that trade.

This is what blows my mind.  We could start them both and on the very remote chance the C gets hurt then you lose the DH for that day.  Who cares, were losing 100+ games anyway and just call up Lee th

Random, but does anyone else kinda miss the days teams could call up more guys in September?

This actually allows them to play both Quero and Teel without worrying about an injury costing them the DH position.  It leaves them an extra catcher to catch, even if the other guy is DHing.

34 plate appearances.

Yeah, players don't generally rack up 500 PAs in spring training.

Just awarded Basallo a huge deal...let's see what they do in FA this off season.

And Elias is the one most blame for not spending.

A Corbin Burnes FA deal would have killed them.

Roman Anthony was a huge deal.  Basallo just needs to be a decent DH and he'll earn that contract (at least outside of JR's world).  Elias is a prospect hoarder, but is that him or ownership budget limitations from locking your own guys up (I don't know)?  Whoever is fucking it up is going to see Gunnar walk out the door when they've had ample time to lock him up and he's not the only one.

They lost all the leverage when Gunnar was a Top 5-10 player in baseball last year...

And that's fair, but they needed to be able to see what they already had on their hands before the monster breakout.  All the signs were there.

Thanks for the knowledge.  The point I was trying to make is that it wasn’t really indicative of anything.  Rojas is a terrible hitter and only had value due to his glove.  It was simply a bad signing by a bad GM.  $3.5 million up in smoke.

3 of his 6 seasons prior to this one, he posted above average RC+. Terrible? Hyperbole.

Rojas was having a good spring training before the toe injury. That is a thing.

$3.5M for a veteran is nothing.

Excuses.  His toe healed and he came back and sucked.  All the millions that Getz has spent on scrubs adds up.

I posted 3 facts. Rojas has not been good this season.

HIS average RC+ is an interesting measuring stick. Dude hasn't even put up an average RC+ or a positive oWAR since 2022.

Criminally under appreciated/misunderstood.  Great teammate, according to Schiffren.
