October 17, 2025Oct 17 3/29 stretch for Ohtani... Haven't seen him struggle like this in ages as a hitter. Yet LA still on the verge of a commanding 3-0 series lead.
October 17, 2025Oct 17 Nice to have the back end depth of Scherzer Bassitt Lauer and Berrios (when healthy)... Edited October 17, 2025Oct 17 by caulfield12
October 17, 2025Oct 17 Roberts avoided any controversy bringing in Treinen early...and Sasaki is almost unbeatable when he's feeling confident and getting ahead in the count. Then he can bring that wicked fork/spiltter into play. You could see him flip a switch once Vaughn was retired by Betts. Naylor goes deep for another early Seattle lead...1-0 Edited October 17, 2025Oct 17 by caulfield12
October 17, 2025Oct 17 Guess taking on that Gimenez contract from the Guardians was worth it after all lol...
October 17, 2025Oct 17 Have to be feeling a bit sorry for Brewers and M's fans... If not this year for a WS, when?

When (or I should say "if") MLB fixes its competitive balance issue. If it ends up being a LA vs. Toronto World Series, that'll guarantee 9 big market teams winning the WS in the last 10 seasons. The lone exception was the 2019 Nationals, who are arguably a "medium market" team. Go back the 10 seasons before that and it was almost all big market teams too except for the Cardinals and Royals. Maybe Seattle fans can have more hope as they're also arguably a medium market team, but the small-market Brewers have run an outstanding organization and this is about as far as they can go under the current system. They can outdo the Cubs, but they just can't keep up with $400M behemoths like the Dodgers. Edited October 17, 2025Oct 17 by 77 Hitmen
October 18, 2025Oct 18 Just turned into a classic for Ms fans. Suarez and Arozarena (hbp) come through after Raleigh had the key clutch dinger to tie it. Going with Little over Hoffman? And now Springer might be hurt? Edited October 18, 2025Oct 18 by caulfield12
October 18, 2025Oct 18 Looks like Ohtani showed up to play...3-0 already in the first with the Brewers on the brink. Edited October 18, 2025Oct 18 by caulfield12

October 18, 2025Oct 18 Perkins just got doubled off from first base...by the LEFT fielder, Ki-ke Hernandez. Geez. Talk about when it rains, it pours. Jose Quintana has to wear it for now. Edited October 18, 2025Oct 18 by caulfield12

Even when he closed out the ALDS, he gave up a run. The Jays bullpen just isn't built to protect small leads in the postseason. There's really not one guy you can trust in a high leverage situation besides Varland.
October 18, 2025Oct 18 Ohtani is back. Up and over the pavilion roof. 117 even 469 feet Second two homer game in postseason, first Dodger to accomplish that feet. Beats Schwarber's blast onto the rooftop by about 15 feet. Willie Stargell the only other player to clear it in a game. Edited October 18, 2025Oct 18 by caulfield12

Ron Darling's favorite macaroni salad from the Bertucci Brothers suddenly unavailable. Gio Stanton has the longest Statcast Era bomb of 475 feet in Dodger Stadium...dating back to 2015.
October 18, 2025Oct 18 Sal Frelick making one of the better catches of the postseason in RF. Psycho Eyes.
October 18, 2025Oct 18 Apparently Ohtani wants to pitch as a closer in the WS if he doesn't start G4. Will have a long time since last regular season start...tonight...and the fourth game of the Series. Looks like he will get lifted near 100 pitches. Milwaukee simply has to score at least two runs here.
