To be fair, Noah Schultz doesn't throw with much extension. One of those recent prospect rankings (Law?) cites it as a deficit to his profile.

It is very nice to see the pundits start to acknowledge this kid.  Hopefully he can carry this success into the high minors.

I will say it is refreshing to have an actual debate over two guys that 12 months from now could be in every top 10 ranking. While still have some legitimate young guys and other ranked guys.

The reason he's dropped are because of things outside of his ceiling/talent level.

He's the only unicorn prospect the White Sox have in my opinion.

As of today, he's the only guy I could squint and see perennial all-star, MVP, Cy Young, type talent.  There are some ceilings in this system, but I would top Schultz as a 70, while the others are 60 to 65 tops.

I like him more than Cholowsky personally but I know that's a small group of us. Elite speed. Power potential is crazy too.

Agree thanks for sharing !!

How much correlation to performance is there, and how coachable is this?

I just meant the point where he releases the ball is unique due to his size and the other variables i noted. His arm angle isnt really one that maximizes actual extension.

While granted these are advantages and makes his stuff play up, he just doesn't have the stuff of someone like Oppor.

There aren't many lefties that have the raw stuff and stuff+ metrics like Oppor.
