Opening Series In Milwaukee

Featured Replies

Sox open in Milwaukee March 26. Three game series.

Curious if there are any groups going.

Was thinking of attending the series, been to Miller park twice before- any recommendations on what area to stay in? I  think the ballpark is off the express way so probably should stay in an area that is close by and has bars, restaurants etc. but not too far from Miller Park

One thing I would recommend from attending a game there last year is taking a Uber/Lyft and not driving/parking as getting out of the parking lot after the game was a complete nightmare.

Nice, won't have to worry about a snow / rain out. I hate having a game, day off, then it gets snowed out anyways and you have to wait another day to get he season really going.

Yeah. It’s honestly dumb they still have that day off after the Thursday opening day though lol

Adding on: it’s a very short ride from the intermodal station. Highly recommend taking Amtrak Hiawatha Service.

What vibe are you going for?

Pubs sports bars different types of restaurants. Would like to be in a "walking" neighborhood.

Used to live on Brady street.

not sure what it’s like now, but a fun mix of dive and sports bars back in the day.

Just get a hotel downtown.  There are multiple establishments on/near the Water St. area that provide shuttle service to/from the game.

Thinking about going to the first game of the season there. Il be on my paternity leave so probably won’t get too many chances to do stuff outside of with the kids so I might commit to that one instead of the home opener.
