You think the Rockies didn’t sign Quintana with the plan to deal him at the deadline as well? I also doubt Quintana signed with the worst team in baseball because he wanted to play in Colorado for half a season until he is inevitably traded. Colorado simply offered him the most money, but I doubt he wouldn’t have accepted the same deal from the Sox.
