Maybe Peters can give Colson a few tips on how to hit.

This guy should be our centerfielder for years to come, why they are giving time in CF to Bonemer is a mystery to me, if they want him in the outfield, they should be grooming him in LF, to throw a guy out in CF where he’s never played before and with a lot more ground to cover is a big mistake.

Why? If you can cover ground in center, you can cover ground in left. If you have an arm and can cover that ground up the middle, you can also cover right.

So if Bonemer shows he can man center, he’s actually showing ( since he has the arm ) that he can play any outfield position.

They’re creating a multifaceted defensive player who can cover any spot in the outfield, either spot on the right side of the dirt, and can rotate as a DH if need be on rare occasion.

Peters has been fantastic in center but he already gives way to a gold glover and moves to left. It wouldn’t be a bad thing in any way to have three guys on the team who could man center on any given day. You’d also have four guys who you could put in left.

I’m really not seeing the problem here.

70 wins in August, who'da thunk? Your first place Chicago White Sox win the series, the homestand, and the tiebreaker over TEX while returning to a season high 7 games over.

Shaky start from Burke to say the least, but he did just enough to keep the game from getting out of hand and buy the bats some time to get going. Venable dug in his arsenal for a Nuke and a Cannon to get a big extra day of rest for several pen arms ahead of the off day.

Bats also did a great job to make sure we didn't need to sweat too much (didn't stop some folks from still trying of course).

Everyone reached base except Grichuk who was PH for early (and robbed on a hard hit liner). Multi-reach games for the bench mob of Acuna, Rodgers, and Doyle chipping in at the bottom of the order.

Meanwhile Peters is so hot they're going to start calling him Bananas Foster

Fun note, 70 ties an MLB record for the most wins following 3+ 100 loss seasons. The Sox obviously have plenty of time to keep adding on.

Give this man a trophy. Post of the day!

Back to 7 over. That's been our resistance point all season. Time to burst through.

I’m eyeing 10 now!

The starting pitching will need to step it up.

It was a gritty performance by Burke. Not good but he made good pitches when he needed to. Don't think it's a return to the mean as much as someone who needs a few days on the beach.

That's why they're doing it in the minor leagues.

2 1/2 up on the Guardians

3 1/2 up on the Astros for the two seed

4 1/2 up on the Rangers (first team out of the playoffs)

Just keep winning boys

If he can play CF, he can easily play LF, especially at G-Rate. That's the point.

That, and it seems like they need to keep him challenged in some way.
