Despite several rough seasons on the field, the White Sox radio booth remains a “major bright spot” for South Side fans. Broadcaster Len Kasper is widely praised for his ability to “elevate any analyst” and paint an “accurate and vivid” view that makes the radio call “vastly superior to the TV call” to some. Some North Side transplants in the comments still lament the loss of Kasper, noting that he is “in his element” on the radio. Former White Sox outfielder Darrin “DJ” Jackson brings a “comfortable” presence to color commentary, while fill-in voice Connor McKnight is singled out as a “truly pleasant surprise.” Graders ultimately seemed to agree that this is a “delightful broadcast” that “makes bad games enjoyable.”

DJ rules. It’s so refreshing to flip from the tv broadcast to radio and hear the booth actually being critical of something the Sox did.

There was a time when you could turn off the TV sound and listen to radio braodcast, but now now there some sort of a delay and yhey don.t sync up.

Also does anyone remember when the broadcast team switched spots? Harry Carey and partner would announce the first 3 innings and the last 3 on Television. Then they would do the middle 3 innings on radio.

I definitely remember that....I believe that was when the games were on WSNS channel 44.

Oh, I missed this poll. I gave the TV team an A but these guys get an A+ and an anime sticker. Surprised they're not higher but I don't listen to other teams' radio broadcasts to be fair.

WSNS and the Sox radio stations wanted Harry to work on their mediums as much as possible.
