Michigan State

Does not deserve a top 10 ranking this year at all. They suck, what an embarrasment.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk.

I actually agree with you for a change, I still think MSU may be tough by tourney time but right now they are awful. And where is Aboz, I thought MSU had six guys who would start in the backcourt for almost anyone in the country. Those six guys have gotten their asses kicked.

No, how can a team get better when they got whomped by the best teams. MSU will surprise me if they finish any higher than 5th in the big 10.

Illinois, Michigan, Purdue, Ohio State are better.

Ohio State is complete garbage. They suck this year. What about Wisconsin?

Forgot about them, that was who I was trying to figure out.

I believe Ohio State has a few injuries, and is young.

THey will be ok.

OVER-RATED (clap clap clapclapclap) OVER-RATED...

Not just MSU... The whole Conference that Can't Count.

Yeah, the Big 10 just doesn't look like it is going to be that good this year. U of I, Wisconsin, and Purdue are not overrated though.

Duke caned em tonite, watched a bit on ESPN today down here. Tom Izzo looked devastated.

Don't forget Michigan. The Big Ten will be fine come tournament time. Illinois playing UNC pretty evenly in Greensboro at the beginning of the year, with a new coach, and without McBride is a positive. Wisconsin taking Maryland to overtime in Maryland, one of the toughest places to play, is a positive. Michigan and Purdue did what they were supposed to do.

The Big Ten did get a wake up call from the ACC there is no denying that. But rarely do things end up in March the way people predict things in December. Who'd of thunk Syracuse would win the national title last year at this time or even at the beginning of March. All you heard about was Arizona and Kentucky. College Basketball is really showing a lot more parity recently. There's that word again.

You do realize that MSU is missing their starting point guard? And I am not sure how you think it isn't good to play good teams, but that is another story. MSU will finish 2nd or 3rd in the Big Ten, but the league as a whole is down this year.

No wonder they had so many turnova's in da first half. When u don't have a good hnadlin PG, just play a good ol fashioned full court press. :bringit

Better to go through this now, than to play a junk schedule and go through it later in the season. It hurts not having a true pg (they don't, the closest they have is a JuCo transfer who plays pg). They will be tough, just wait. It is too early to tell how they will be, but you guys are drilling them because of two losses to two of the best teams in the nation (granted they were ugly, huge losses). I can't believe you guys are saying Ohio State is better than MSU, just wait until December is a few weeks old, atleast. Tolbert, Hill, and Davis are good players, they will find their groove in time. They were a Elite 8 team last year, I couldn't imagine them falling off that bad, just cause they lost two of their better players.

Oh yeah, btw, f*** you for saying State sucks. Seeing as I am a part of State and all. I wouldn't have minded if ya said MSU basketball sucks, but suck a dick asshole for saying MSU sucks.

Brandon Cotton is not a starter. He played before the injury and came off the bench.

While the very concept of MSU is one that sucks    it is very over-stated to say that MSU basketball sucks. What is happening in a few early games is not enough to draw an overdrawn conclusion. It is early, we know that Izzo's teams do, and give this team time to jell. Despite early difficulties I expect them to contend in the Big 10 and in the NCAAs. But some excitable people will always overstate things after a handful of games.

(What is a "dick asshole"? The merger of these two distinct body parts is beyond comprehension. One can bring the two together, but to have them united in this way - I think it cannot be done.)

What? Illinois is the most overrated garbage team in the Big 10 this year. They'd have lost to Duke by about 80.

Well, we know reading isn't one of your strengths. I said 'suck a dick asshole.' If you read it in context, I am telling an asshole to suck a dick. Context, it's called context.

You are right, I did mis-read and did not see the word "a".

So you resort to homophobic comments as well as attack people who attempt to take your side when MSU is attacked. Somehow - it is expected. My error in trying to post positive on MSU, atke your side, and make a light hearted statement to change the tone of the very negative thread's beginning.

 Right because we lost to a top 10 team in what was basically a home game for them by only 7 (and were down by only 2 with about a minute to play). In fact, if we hit free throws we very likely win that game.

Reminds me of an old Lenny Bruce quote...

"It's weird how they manifested that word [cocksucker] as homosexual, cause I don't; that relates to any contemporary chick I know, or would know, or would love or would marry."

spiff, you the man for pulling up that Lenny bruce quote which is far insightful in the derogatory use of that term for an event that we desire to have done!

Never said UNC wasn't another vastly overrated team, either.

Never said UNC wasn't another vastly overrated team, either.

Than who isn't overrated. UNC's starting 5 may be the best in the country, they have no depth but if they stay out of foul trouble they can play with anyone.

I can guarantee you that UNC will NOT finish in the top 15 with the lack of depth they have, plus its Roy Williams first year there, next year on the other hand, im thinking final four for them.

As for the Big Ten, they are a football conference right now, great football, best in the country, decent major physical basketball, just not amazing like the ACC or Big East, though both those conferences are crap in football. I could see some teams coming up as a surprise for the Big Ten this year though, possibly Iowa (yea im biased) if they limit their turnovers and Pierre Pierce plays well, and Purdue, who looks real good and beat Duke a week ago.

ACC is not crap in football f*** you, FLA st would beat anyone in the big 10 hands down. and you want to talk next year? You don't even wanna think about ACC next year dog cause we will put you down.
