Therefore, we almost have to trade Magglio, if we can get value for him! We cannot afford to keep him for $14 mil, then lose him to free agency and get nothing for him!

 

I like the deal that was in the Suntimes (with the Dodgers) for Guillermo Mota, ( a badass in the bullpen), Odalis Perez, (#4 starter) and some stud prospects.

No, it was definitely a "sources say" article. However, I certainly think it's probable that Maggs would turn down that deal in hopes of getting more by putting himself on the market. Now, whether this deal was actually ever offered is a different story altogether.........
