When the Sox start at 6 (or earlier) I'm stuck listening to them. Maybe if they would say the score of the game rather than talk about this, that or some other foresaken thing, I might not dislike them so much.

They keep the games interesting to the point where if I didn't have TV, I'd still listen to every single game over the net and not miss a beat. I usually turn off the volume on the TV and crank the radio feed through the computer.
January 29, 200422 yr I personally like Hawk a lot, think he comes up with some good stuff, and since I am a die hard Sox fan I can appreciate his obvious bias. I don't like DJ very much and really wish it was still Hawk and Wimpy. I live downstate, so I really don't listen on the radio enough to have an opinion of those guys.

January 29, 200422 yr Farmer & Rooney wouldn't be so bad if they weren't always talking about what the score would be if whoever was batting for the Sox went yard. Farmer especially. It just gets old hearing... If this guy leaves one up so & so could take him out of here and make it a tie game..... Other than that they are very interesting to listen to. Farmer had one of the all time great quotes against the scrubs last year when Alfonseca came in for the first time. He said, shouldn't he be wearing # 24?

January 29, 200422 yr I, for one, LOVE hawk. Most announcers these days couldn't care less about their teams. Hawk is one of the few that has a strong passion for this team. While he's not the best announcer in the world, he shares the feelings of us, the fans. When things are going bad, he's as angry as we are, when things are going good, he is as ecstatic as us. Now, if I wasn't a fan of the sox and was forced to listen to him, that's a totally different story.

His love of White Sox Baseball. I'm reminded of a game in Detroit this season, where this one ump just screwed on us checked swing calls in the 9th, when we were threatening to come back. I love Hawk, and DJ is getting better.

As an out-of-towner, I have to listen to 90% of the games on mlbRadio with Farmer and Rooney. I think they do a fine job until Farmer goes off on some stupid golf story for 10 minutes at a time.

It was the first series with the Twinkies after Doug Mienkewitz comments concerning the all star game being moved to another stadium. Early in the game John Garland plunks Doug in the side with a fastball and is immediately (without any warnings being issued) thrown out of the game. Hawk was screaming, "THAT IS BS!!!!!!! HE CAN'T DO THAT." Once in awhile I hear that clip on the Score and it always brings a smile to my face.
