FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) -- Minnesota Twins center fielder Torii Hunter hurt his left wrist on a collision with the wall in Friday's exhibition game against Cincinnati.

Hunter was sent to a hospital for X-rays. There was no immediate word on the extent of his injury.

The three-time Gold Glove winner made a leaping attempt to take a home run away from the Reds' Jacob Cruz in the fourth inning. Hunter came up empty and lay on the warning track briefly before getting up, talking to trainer Jim Kahmann and jogging off the field. He was replaced by B.J. Garbe.

For the Twinkies sake, they better hope it's nothing serious.

I can't say I am disappointed.
