March 13, 200422 yr I was just flipping through the ol' boob tube and saw that CURLING was on NBC. WOW! I never thought I would see the day that curling would be on NBC. My question is, does anyone else other than me, actually enjoy curling and want to learn about it? It seems to be the basterd child of the winter olympics. but I actually enjoy it.
March 13, 200422 yr I have a genuine Iowa State Intramurals Champion T-Shirt for my expert skipping(The Skip is the team leader) of a curling team. Best part about Curling: Loser buy winners drinks.

March 13, 200422 yr You throw the stones down to the target and want to have the stone(s) nearest the center. If you have the closest and the other team has the 2nd closest, you get 1 point. If you have the 2 closest and they have the 3rd, you get 2 points, and so on. The brushes smooth the ice in front of the stone, speeding it up.
March 14, 200422 yr You mean I missed curling while I watching Kentucky hoops and Sox baseball? DAMN! Seriously, curling is an interesting sport to watch at times. It's just low on my priority list.
March 14, 200422 yr The brushes smooth the ice in front of the stone, speeding it up. Straightening and maintaining it's speed. Kipwellsfan is real good from what I hear. I curl, once a week in a men's league, but we're canadian so that's our excuse. Surprisingly it was really well rated on t.v. in the olymimpics is the U.S. and in countries they don't see it like Greece and Austrailia.

Neva on here much at all, except for when the Winter Olympics was on, which we got millions of replays of Steve Bradley winnin the speed skatin, which would be the flukiest victory of all time.
March 14, 200422 yr I believe Exmoor Country Club hosts some tournaments each year. About a dozen years ago I watched a Championship tournament. Very fun. Everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun.

Haha, he was in last place then everyone fell down. He was so far behind, he did not get tripped up. A win is a win though, and he is a gold medalist.

That was easily the most funniest race I hav ever seen. He was at least 20 to 30m behind, had given up all hope, and then the first 3 skaters all trip otha each otha at the final bend, and Bradbury just glides thru and rasies his arms in the arm, while the others are crawling towards the finish line. This automatically made him our 1st eva winter gold medallist and a national hero.
