Butter Parque
I believe it is Sweeney. Reed hasn't looked good against Major League Pitchers. Sweeney has.
southsider2k5
I keep hearing rave reviews about Sweeney. Everyone from the GM, to the ex GM, to the manager, to his teammate, to everyone who has seen him. And the kid is 19.
gsoxs1
Great article on ESPN about Sweeney http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/spring2004/c...phil&id=1766168
False Alarm
sweeney's looked fantastic, but it's too small of a sample size in both cases for me to elevate him above reed, who's done it for much longer as a pro and might still have lingering effects from the wrist injury. SoxAce
Yea everyone keeps forgeting about that wrist injury. That can defenitely effect your swing. It's gotta be Reed, then I would say eigher Anderson or Sweeney since Anderson was injured most of the year and Sweeney is crushing the ball now. dasox24
I'd have to say that right now Reed is the top hitting prospect. Sweeney is very close behind, as is Anderson. This is a very tough question and I think either 3(hopefully all ) of these guys could become really good major league hitters.
Old Socks
I hope the Sox don't put Sweeney on a five year plan. I would start him in Winston Salem, bypass Kanny. If he hits, send him to Birmingham.
