April 13, 200421 yr Finally the 660* HR craze is over with. now comes the 661 hr craze and the 662 hr craze and the.......
April 13, 200421 yr 'bout friggin time he got it. Maybe now ESPN will stop showing every single Giants game now Nope, they got to see 661 when he passes Mays.
April 13, 200421 yr I loved how the guys on PTI were b****ing about ESPN making such a big deal out of this, and then 3 minutes later, they're cut off to see Barry's at bat. Obviously Bonds is a great home run hitter, but this is a little crazy. I don't think that in 50 years my grandkids will ask me where I was when Bonds hit 660, though ESPN would have you believe otherwise.
April 13, 200421 yr Say what you will about Berroid Bonds, but his swing is absolutely majestic. He sees the ball well. He manages the strikezone and is very disciplined for a power hitter. And then there is the swing itself -- short, super-quick and mechanically sound. It he was willing to sacrifize some power, he could have been a ,400 hitter.
April 13, 200421 yr Yes, I agree. However, that body armor he wears allows him to crowd the plate and turn on anything over the plate. That stuff should be as banned as steroids.
April 13, 200421 yr Haha the dude whose raft was closest to the splashdown flipped over. Well maybe he went underwater and got it. LOL, if eva I get to go to San Francisco, I wanna be one of those dudes out there in a life raft waiting for sum1 to hit a homer in the bay. That's unless I'm in the stadium watchin.
April 13, 200421 yr Guys, to sum this up. In 104 years of official baseball stat keeping exactly 4 guys have done this. And unless we are one of the few older posters on this site, we have seen exactly ONE of them EVER play. Take a little perspective out of this, whether you love or hate Barry. At least appreciate the history you are watching.
April 14, 200421 yr Bonds absolutely murdered that ball. I believe the broadcasters on FSN said the same guy from yesterday scooped the ball out of the water.
April 14, 200421 yr Bonds absolutely murdered that ball. I believe the broadcasters on FSN said the same guy from yesterday scooped the ball out of the water. He's goin to be rich.
April 14, 200421 yr He gave it to Bonds. He gave both of them to Barry. Good for him. Glad to see not everyone is consumed by greed.
