Very good news to hear. Looks like they mite hav worked out an option for the 5th year, whether it's a player 1 or a team 1.

Yeah, at least until the "his contract is keeping us from signing ______________" talk starts in a year or two.

I personally think signing Maggs is a top priority for this team, and I'm glad to see that Sox management is thinking clearly on this one.

That would remove the only real stumbling block to the Sox this season. If they lock him up it's gonna be ON this year.
